We are committed to improving, upgrading, and maintaining our parks, and recreation facilities that keep Ypsilanti Township thriving. In addition to continued investments in our roads, nonmotorized paths, stormwater, and infrastructure.
We are committed to the affordability of homes by not raising taxes, working with Habitat for Humanity for home improvements, and keeping the community clean by partnering with the LAITR Shine program.
We are committed to financial stability, transparency, accountability, and proper management of taxpayer funds.
Our
Accomplishments
Hand-delivered COVID test kits and masks in the winter of 2021 through the spring of 2022 to single-family homes, manufactured homes, and apartment complexes in our community
Hired a Community Resource Specialist to connect residents with resources in the county, state and federal government
Created a Special Events Coordinator to partner with our Recreation Department to bring events to our parks like the Jazz Festival, Rosie the Riveter craft show, a car show and rowing sport competition to Ford Lake.
Partnered with the City of Ann Arbor and U of M to eliminate the algae bloom in Ford Lake.
Acquired a grant to distribute recycling bins to every single-family home in the township to increase recycling efforts.
Allocated federal dollars for the replacement of Mercury Vapor lighting in the roadway with LED lighting in our neighborhoods
